Who Will Be The Next President of Nigeria?

From all the news reports on the emerging Presidential candidates in Nigeria, the battle is going to be an all northern political leaders affair as the former military head of state, retired General Muhammad Buhari has been nominated as the flag bearer of the main opposition party, the All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP) and thus poised to challenge Alhaji Umaru Yar' Adua of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP). But, the most formidable Presidential aspirants would be the Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the former military head of state, retired General Ibrahim Babangida.

Professor Pat Utomi the presidential flag bearer of the new African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the ex-pop star Rev. Chris Okotie of the Fresh Democratic Party (FDP) are the new breed political leaders of the future and they don't stand any chance contesting against the political juggernauts who are well known to the majority of the Nigerian electorate.

It is unfortunate that the political leadership of Nigeria is returning to the North. Because, the past leaders from the North have only plundered Nigeria and squandered our national revenue. In fact, Onyeka Onwenu aptly documented the profligacy in A Squandering of Riches for the BBC in 1984.And the northern military heads of state only worsened the political administration of Nigeria as their corruption ruined the country.

The chicken-hearted Presidential aspirants from the South-South who surrendered to the Northern leaders have only shown us that the South-South cannot overcome the political power brokers in the leadership of Nigeria. But, for how long will the South-South continue to kiss the feet of the political oppressors in Nigeria?

As the Vice President Atiku Abubakar escapes from the criminal charges leveled against him by the government of President Olusegun Obasanjo, he is now more convinced of his legitimacy to contest for the post that Obasanjo will vacate in May 2007. And to buoy the ambition of Atiku, the Action Congress (AC) party has adopted him as their Presidential flag bearer with the support of nine other political parties in alliance. So, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has become the most popular choice of the majority of the political parties in Nigeria. Atiku Abubakar also enjoys goodwill from millions of Nigerians across the country and that is what the other Presidential candidates cannot boast of.

Beasts of No Nation: From Fela To Uzodinma

Did the title of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti's Afrobeat song "Beasts of No Nation" inspire Uzodinma Iweala to give his first novel the same title?

Uzodinma Iweala

The beasts of no nation or vagabonds in power as Fela called them are still in power in Nigeria. And it is a great pity that majority of Nigerians have forgotten that the present head of state, President Olusegun Obasanjo was the same head of state who sent his zombies in uniform to attack Fela Anikulapo-kuti and threw his old mother over the balcony and assaulted the wives and dancers of Fela in the military invasion of Kalakuta Republic in 1978.

President Olusegun Obasanjo has not repented. Because he has invaded other places from the Middle Belt to the Niger Delta region of Nigeria since he returned to power in 1999 and left them in sorrows and tears. And what President Obasanjo did in Odi is not different from what the late Gen.Sani Abacha did in Ogoni land.

The beasts of no nation have been feasting on the masses of Nigeria. And the time has come to get rid of them before it is too late.

Donald Duke: Portrait of A New Nigerian Leader

Born in Calabar on September 30, 1961 to Mr. Henry Duke and his wife, Genevieve, his childhood and youth were remarkable, secure and successful. He loved and respected his parents, particularly his famous father, who, as chairman of the old Board of Customs and Excise, was legendary for his integrity and uprightness.

By all accounts, he was not an exceptional student at Corona School, Lagos or Federal Government College, Sokoto. But when his spirit got out of hand, he was recognized as a very promising student! Perhaps, the earliest clue to what he was destined to become was as an undergraduate at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where, as a member of the Students’ Union executive, his passion for debates, his thorough, retentive and curious mind, one which constantly asked questions about the future of our country - all came to the fore.

The certainty and security of his early life was broken, when, at 27, he lost his father in 1988. Before then, the solidity of his life was intact - a Law degree from Ahmadu Bello University at 20, an LLM from the University of Pennsylvania in the United States at 22, a brief partnership stint as a corporate lawyer with Onyia & Duke and a full-fledged business career by 1988.

Understandably, Ahmadu Bello looms large in his life not only because he met his heartthrob, Onari, at Zaira, but also because it provided a perfect setting for the fostering of relationships which were to help structure the course of his life. There was, in this regard, his late friend, Mohammed Waziri, the former chairman of Nigeria Railways, with whom he shared the same birthday and many childhood memories. By 1992, Duke had become commissioner for finance, budget and planning in Cross River State and was later to serve as a member of the National Economic Intelligence Committee, the Federal Economic Council and as a member of the Federal Capital Budget Monitoring Committee.

When at the age of 37, he decided to run for the office of governor of his state, no one gave him a chance. Considered too young at the time and something of an outsider, a ‘Lagos boy,’ he approached the challenge of elective office with great caution and even trepidation. He took his time, learnt the ropes, and plotted a strategy. When he eventually confronted the reality of the elections, it was with such fierce determination that from the outset, victory seemed assured. For, not only did he go on to win, he has gone on to become one of the most successful, elected officials in the history of our country. Indeed, on the record of his achievements alone, perhaps, he, more than any other two-term governor, deserves a chance at higher office.

Articulate, brilliant and engaging, Duke is a firm believer in the neo-capitalist notion of a private sector driven economy as the vehicle for the rapid transformation of a developing society. Yet, he also harbours, surprisingly, some populist, left-of-centre beliefs that in a developing society, government should also work for the poor and the underprivileged. His massive rural electrification programme derives essentially from this theory. But, largely, his most outstanding achievement, the remarkable transformation of Cross River State into the preferred tourism destination in Nigeria, is driven by the belief that government/private partnership ventures are best suited for developing economies.

Who Should Be The Next President of Nigeria?

There has never been a free and fair election in Nigeria."
~Maryam Adamu Umar
Washington Post, 12/11/2006

I have just read the Washington Post report on the new electoral process in Nigeria with the introduction of the electronic voters registeration system. And I am amused. Because, the most important thing to the majority of Nigerians is not the electoral process. What most Nigerians want is good governance that will solve their economic and social problems. And they don't even care if the elections are rigged or not. Just give us good leaders and not political crooks and rogues in the masquerade of democracy.

Who should be the next President of Nigeria?
That is the question.

I have been close to the corridors of power and have worked in the political campaign office of Alhaji Bamanga Tukur between 1990 and 1992 on Eletu Agabi Street on the Victoria Island in Lagos. I have had the privilege of meeting with some top politicians in Abuja. And I can state here that most of the so called Nigerian politicians don't know what is politics and from their so called political activities from the First Republic to date, even a moron can see that they are political vandals and vagabonds. Because, they have only bastardized politics.

Rev. Christ Okotie:A Presidential Aspirant

The Nigerian political parties don't have what can qualify as real political offices. They only have "open and close" political shops. They open them for elections and close them after elections.

Now, with less than six months to the Presidential elections, there are no real Presidential Candidates with any organised political campaign. No political education, no political mobilization and no political sensitization of the electorate. They just print posters and handbills of their best photographs to advertise themselves as contesting candidates.

A true political leader would have been known to the electorate in over ten years of statesmanship in public service and interacting with the electorate from the grassroots.

The so called Christian Presidential Candidate thinks pasting posters on the pages of newspapers and on walls on the streets in the cities and on an obscure website is all it takes to convince millions of Nigerian voters that he is worthy to lead them? When the majority of the masses who constitute the legitimate electorate in the villages and towns in the Southern, Eastern, Western and Northern regions of rural Nigeria don't even know him or his political agenda. And if you drop him from an helicopter on the people in Katangora in Northern Nigeria, they will mistake him for another ET from a UFO. And he has not even launched any political education, mobilization and sensitization of the poor majority of Hausas, Ibos, Yorubas and the other 247 ethnic groups. And can he give us a guided tour of his party offices and wards in Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Ẹdo, Ekiti, Enụgụ, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Nassarawa, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Ọsun, Ọyọ, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe, Zamfara and Abuja Federal Capital Territory?

The other so called political candidates are the same kettle and pot. Clueless. And none of them is a true statesman and the women among them are only their political mistresses or political concubines of the political gamblers who see Nigeria as one big Political Casino and in fact, Nigeria is the biggest Political Casino in Africa controlled by the Nigerian Political Mafia of Political crooks and rogues whose stock-in-trade are political chicanery and robbery.

Until true statesmen and stateswomen become political leaders in Nigeria, Nigerians will continue to be plagued in the vicious circle of corruption in the corridors of power.

Governor Donald Duke is the portrait of the new breed and the ideal Nigerian leader

If you want to lead Nigeria, then you must begin the political education, sensitization and mobilization of Nigerians through public service or charity and only through your benevolent service of leadership by example will you prove that you are a true political leader worthy of the mandate of the electorate of Nigeria.

The late Malam Aminu Kano is a good model of such a true political leader.
The late Chief Obafemi Jeremiah Awolowo is another good model of a true political leader and the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikike is also a good model of a true political leader.

How many of the so called Nigerian Politicians have read the books of Malam Aminu Kano, Obafemi Awolowo and Nnamdi Azikiwe?

They have to read their books to study their examplary models of statesmanship in political leadership.

The political kleptocrats and plutocrats destroying Nigeria now wasted millions of Naira, Dollars and Pounds from our treasury on useless trips to America and Britain pretending to go there to learn from the American Democracy and from the "Mother of Parliaments". But the political pretenders actually went for tourism and shopping spree from London to Washington DC. And their Political Kingpin, the ruling President of Nigeria saw his once in a lifetime opportunity of his wildest dreams to go globe trotting to almost all the countries in the Western world and Asia and wasted tax payers money in his useless day dreaming trips in his so called quest for foreign investors. And the only foreign investors he got from his ludicurous world tour are buyers of GSM licenses and illegal oil blocs. Any dummy can sell GSM licenses and stolen oil blocs. And of course, he will jump at the slightest opportunity to mention his famous "Debt Relief" success story. And I ask him again, whose debt?
THE DEBTS INCURRED DURING THE LOOTING OF OUR NATIONAL TREASURY BY THE PAST EMBEZZLERS WHO WERE WELL KNOWN TO PRESIDENT OLUSEGUN OBASANJO OF NIGERIA. AND MANY OF THEM WHO ARE RETIRED GENERALS ARE THE CHIEFTAINS OF HIS CORRUPT RULING PARTY OF NIGERIA.THE PDP.

How many of the retired military rulers have been charged , arraigned and convicted of embezzling large sums of public funds and taking bribes? And their partners in crime and political lobbyists are still in business as usual in the kleptocracy and plutocracy ruining Nigeria in the masquerade of political parties?

May I ask you again?
Who should be the next President of Nigeria?

From Jan Pronk To Donald Duke

If any UN diplomat deserves the Nobel Prize for Peace, that noble diplomat is Jan Pronk the UN Special Envoy to Sudan for his fearless confrontation with the rebels and draconian ruling Islamists on rampage in Darfur. And I have been monitoring and evaluating his progress to bring an end to the genocide in Darfur.

Sir, I have read and now understood the hypocrisy of the ruling regime in Sudan. The fact is the ruling regime in Sudan is guilty of crimes against humanity in Darfur. And your statements of facts from your eye-witness accounts proved them wrong and they believe you have seen enough. And the less you know the better for them. Because they are afraid that your evidence could be used against them when they would be tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Well done sir.

Dear Orikinla Osinachi,
Thank you very much for your understanding. You are right.
Please tell your colleagues and friends, so that the people in Darfur will not be forgotten.
With best regards,

As America Votes, The Rest Of The World Watches

As Americans vote, we watch them to see how their votes will also pass their verdict on President George W.Bush. And as the opinion polls show, Bush is no longer the choice of the majority of American voters and this fact would be the yardstick to push the Republicans out of power.

Americans have had enough of the Republican misadministration in the prosecution of the war on terror as shown by chaos caused by the war in Iraq.

Here is the mail from my real namesake, Michael Moore.

Friends,
Tomorrow night, those who sent 2,800 of our soldiers to their deaths -- all because of a lie the president concocted -- will find out if America chooses to reward them -- or remove them.

As good as things look for the Democrats, do not pop the corks and start the partying yet. Do not believe for a second that the Republicans plan on losing. They will fight like dogs for the next 24 hours -- relentless, unforgiving, nonstop action to squeeze every last conservative voter out of the house on election day. While the rest of us go about our day today, tens of thousands of Republican volunteers are knocking on doors, making phone calls, and lining up rides to the polls. They're not sleeping, they're not eating, they're not even watching Fox News. A day without Fox News? That's right, that's how insanely dedicated they are.
But the reason they have to work so hard is that, before they can get the vote out, they first have to completely turn around the massive public opinion against them. Almost 60% disapprove of Bush. Over 60% are opposed to the war. Those are landslide numbers. And the American people are not going to turn pro-war or into Bush-lovers by tomorrow morning. So it should be easy for us, right?

Yup. Just like it was when we won the popular vote in 2000 and when we were ahead in the exit polls all day long in 2004. You know the deal -- the other side takes no prisoners. And just when it seems like things are going our way, the Republicans suddenly, mysteriously win the election.

Well, it's not really that mysterious. They're out there busting their asses this very minute, right down the street from you. What are YOU doing? You're on a computer reading my cranky letter! Stop reading this! We have only a few hours left to wrestle control of the Congress away from these "representatives" who, if returned, will continue shipping our young men and women over there to die.
Here's what I'm imploring you to do right now:

1. Go through your address book on your cell phone and computer and call/e-mail everyone you know. Tell them how much it would mean to you if they vote on Tuesday. If they don't know where to vote, help them find their polling place.

2. Contact MoveOn.org ASAP. They will connect you to the folks who need you to make calls.

3. Contact your local Democratic Party headquarters. There are close races in nearly every state. They'll put you to work -- on the ground or on the phones. Or go to the local HQ for the Dem candidate running for the House of Representatives or the U.S. Senate and say, "Put me to work!"

OK, turn off the computer -- and I will, too. There's serious work to do. The good news? There's more of us than there are of them. Let's prove that, once and for all.
Is there anything more important that you have to do today? Nothing less than the rest of the world is depending on us.

Yours,
Michael Moore

Why Nigerian Planes Are Crashing Like Sick Birds Shot Down From The Sky?

May I ask you to read the following report from an Aviation expert in Nigeria published in the Nigerian Vanguard News of Tuesday, December 13, 2005.
Why Nigerian Planes Are Crashing Like Sick Birds Shot Down From The Sky?

I read it all earlier in 2005 and the tragic fact is the authorities never bothered to read it. And if they read it, they never bothered to address the issues raised.
When the Bellview and Sosoliso crashed last year, we all asked the President of Nigeria to sack the incompetent morons he appointed in the Aviation sector. But the moron himself did not listen and was busy trying to manipulate the constitution to favour his Third Term Bid and when Vice President Atiku Abubakar did not support him, he turned his furies on Atiku instead of doing his work. And all of them are still busy fighting and killing themselves and looting the treasury and sharing oil blocs and licenses among themselves and their proxies until this plane crash jolted them back to reality.

Urgent Appeal For Darfur

I have just received the following letter of appeal for Darfur from Maureen Byrnes, the Executive Director of Human Rights First and I want to appeal to you reading this post to join us in helping the suffering and dying refugees in Darfur.

I have been active in the global efforts to end the crisis in Darfur where over six Nigerian soldiers with the African Union (AU) Peace Keeping Force have been killled. And this made me to advise my contact in Darfur to leave by all means. He is like a brother to me. So his safety is paramount. He has been sending me eye-witness accounts of the catastrophe in Darfur and I corresponded with Jan Pronk the UN Special Envoy in Sudan. But now Maureen just informed me that Jan Pronk has been expelled by the ruling goverment in Sudan. I have some classified reports and I cannot make them public now.

Please, respond to the following appeal as I have done. More details are provided on Human Rights First.

Hello Toniyah,

Last week I sent you a message about the crisis in Darfur - and how your financial support can help people like Hawa Salih (see below). I felt compelled to reiterate how urgently we need you in this effort, especially in light of recent news from the region.

Today, Jan Pronk, the U.N.'s top official in Sudan, is leaving the Sudan after the government expelled him, saying he was an enemy of the country.

Also today the New York Times' top story reports that the fighting is at its worst in two years, with millions of refugees and displaced people caught in the middle.

Our efforts are needed more than ever. Will you please help us build peace in Darfur?

My sincerest thanks for being part of our efforts,

Maureen Byrnes

Dan Etete Exposes Atiku Abubakar And Shell And Others Guilty of Corruption In Dirty Oil Deals In Nigeria

Who watched the Chief Dan Etete interview on the Africa Independent Televison (AIT) this morning?

The former Minister of Petroelum made some serious allegations against the Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Shell was implicated as a criminal multinational oil company in shady oil deals in Nigeria.

The interview was on dirty oil deals with the allocation of oil blocs and the dispute over the Malabu Oil which was mentioned by Elendu Reports.

President Olusegun Obasanjo is also said to be one of the owners of Suntrust Petroleum. The other partners in the company are former Ambassador Andrew Young and Carlton Masters, the president of Goodworks Intl, LLC. The story of Malabu Oil and Dan Etete is another indication of Obasanjo half-hearted attempts at fighting corruption. Malabu Oil and Nigeria are locked in a case in the Federal District Court, New York. Sources say Dan Etete, a former petroleum minister during the Abacha regime, had awarded his company, Malabu Oil, a very lucrative oil block. In 2000, there was a meeting between Atiku Abubakar and Etete. Atiku demanded shares in Malabu Oil on behalf of Pres. Obasanjo. Etete refused and the Obasanjo government seized the oil allocation from Malabu. Dan Etete has threatened to expose Pres. Obasanjo’s investments in a French bank. There are rumors in certain quarters that the Obasanjo government and Dan Etete may have reached made some deals which placated Etete.

Please, read this earlier public advert Chief Dan Etete posted against President Olusegun Obasanjo on USAfrica Online.

What retired Gen. Obasanjo will not tell the international community about Corruption, Beach Land Estate and Nigeria's Democracy

Advertiser's Announcement in www.USAfricaonline.com
USAfrica The Newspaper, Houston (International Edition)

By Senator DAN ETETE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well-meaning Nigerians and our American friends should speak out on the insecurity and threat to life prevalent in our society under the Obasanjo regime. Almost 20,000 people, men, women, and children have lost their lives to violence and rampage occasioned by religious and ethnic differences. Why does this regime fan the embers of religious and ethnic differences in our country? Have we not always enjoyed religious freedom and accepted each other's right to hold his or her religious belief? We're working with other patriots for Nigeria's democratic future and progress. As we and millions of Nigerians pray for God to redirect and save the country, practical electoral steps are also required to vote against this corrupt leadership and save Nigerians from those who hold the reins of power in this failed and impeachable government of Obasanjo's,
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On May 29, 2002, Nigeria marked the return in 1999 to its latest efforts at democratic governance. Given the record of the incumbent president, retired Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, to be frank, that quest at democracy is still going on, and Nigeria is not quite there. Hence, many concerned Nigerians are speaking out and political fireworks are in the making in Nigeria.

It is important to inform the international community, the Jimmy Carter Center and others who seem to have been cajoled and misled by Obasanjo's sloganeering about "anti-corruption" while running a very corrupt, unproductive, unfocused, ethnically-discriminatory and inept government the country, that 2002 and 2003 must open new and better opportunities for our great country. The Obasanjo charade needs to be exposed.

As Nigerians seek international businesses, a better reputation and opportunities for being involved with the international community, one can only imagine the damage done to our image as a nation when Gen. Obasanjo , in the full glare of the international and national media, screams, intimidates and rains abuses at citizens who were, understandably, in despair - having lost loved ones at the recent deadly explosions at the mismanaged armoury under Obasanjo's watch at Ikeja (Lagos), some of them maimed and others had loved ones missing after the explosion in the Ikeja cantonment in January this year.

Such reaction is what we face daily and reflects how much retired Gen. Obasanjo feels responsible for Nigerians as their ruler.

How does his performance compare with the reaction of the United States President after the unfortunate events of September 11, 2001? While President George Bush took it as a national and personal calamity, our own President saw the Ikeja cantonment disaster as not reflecting his responsibility or duty, but an inconveniencing issue, as he shouted "Shut up, I'm not supposed to be here!" It got worse.

I, Dan Loya Etete, the distinguished Senator and former Petroleum Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, hereby reflect the concerns of many Nigerians, concerned Americans and Africans. It has increased and mounted with the recent Abuja declaration of Gen. Obasanjo to run for a 2nd term with his vice president Atiku Abubakar. Note that Obasanjo had served as miliatry dictator from February 1976-1979.

Etete, like most patriots, have drawn attention to the fact that in three years in office, Obasanjo's rule have. largely, brought economic hardships, inflation, insecurity, and ethnic clashes to millions of Nigerians. Essentially, they have done incalculable harm to the reputation of our great country. In the three years of the under-achieving duo of Obasanjo and Atiku, the global community now regards Nigeria as the most corrupt country in the world -- seeing beyond the posturing of Obasanjo as 'Mr. Ethics.' The Obasanjo regime has carried corruption to new heights, corruption is now endemic in government.

With other patriots, we have diagnosed the situation as typical of a rotten fish, which deteriorates from the head first, and progressively down through the body.

We believe that with a facade of anti-corruption gimmick, the President and his Vice have designed what they consider a solid protection system, using associates to carry out deals and a racket of appropriating national assets as their private estates under the guise of privatizing national economic institutions and establishments.

The businesses and fronts used for these activities include the efforts of Obasanjo's kinsman, Otunba Fasawe. He's Obasanjo's roving ambassador to contractors and the signatory to untold numbers of contracts on his master's behalf. We know and have seen through their gimmicks. International business persons are scandalized.

There is an Italian collaborator with the Obasanjo team; a certain Signor G. Volpi who is also the Manager of Intels, the company which is connivance with highly-placed executives of government in the marginalization of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA). Volpi and Intels, we believe, have since taken over the NPA's functions for private gain.

We believe that the other business fronts used by the corrupt leadership mismanaging the affairs of our fatherland include:

•a certain Dr. Baggi, another Italian businessman, partner of Volpi's who professes to practice law in Lugamo, Switzerland.

•Alhaji Abba Usman, Muhammad Adamu, and Adamu Yaro. The damage done to the Nigerian economy and our country's reputation by Gen. Obasanjo's associates, frontmen, and team of wheelers and dealers can only be imagined. Yet, Obasanjo says he is fighting corruption! "Fighting" corruption indeed.

To imagine these are the people who say they want to continue to rule Nigeria and are now scheming to keep competent and dedicated citizens from contesting the next election with contrived INEC impossible hurdles. It is sad, and the international community should be aware that Gen. Obasanjo has perfected political and economic witch-hunting to ruin many.

"If you are not with us, you must be against us" is their motto. If one is not a sycophant, he is perceived as Yes, the dictator and his accomplices wish to remain in office while they continue with their abuse of office and disdain for the laws of our country.

We lament that the duo of Obasanjo and Atiku Abubakar are close to balkanizing our great country, Nigeria. "We must not let them," he cautions, "it is our country; one where we all have an equal stake and to whose defense we must fearlessly rally, The Gen. Obasanjo team is no longer fit to run the affairs of our state and they must be stopped legally and politically.

Among many posers, Etete would want Obasanjo to answer the question: who owns Beach Land Estate?

Obasanjo must not hold the view Nigerians have very short memory or that they do not care. How does he explains his attempts to dispossess his erstwhile friend, Chief Egunjobi of the Beach Land Estate.

In his first coming as Head of State, he claims he built the estate and on leaving office he took his former friend Chief Egunjobi to court and shamelessly proclaimed there that he used the latter as a front.

He did not tell the court, as Nigerians wanted to know, how he came by the money to build the Estate. The court saw through him and struck out his lawsuit.

Two issues immediately arose from the outcome of this escapade. The first is the serial nature of the activities which we believe reflect Obasanjo's corruption. Having claimed before a Nigerian law court the Estate belonged to him; he must answer the question as to where he got the resources to build it? His salary and allowances, while in office, are known to Nigerians.

The court refused to be deceived and with him unwilling to declare the sources of the finance for the Beach Land Estate, the court made it clear he did not prove he owned the Estate.

Corruption is not a newly acquired attributed of this regime and their cohorts.

The other matter arising from this episode is the character of Gen. Obasanjo as a covetous person. He must own what he sees and he sees and likes even if it means illegally dispossessing the rightful owner. It could have been he saw Chief Egunjibo's Beach Land Estate; he liked it and therefore, wanted it. In his characteristic style, coveted it and Bingo, it had to be his. The only limitation at the time is that he forgot he was no longer Head of State.

When it dawned on him, he wondered what to do. He choose the option of litigation, half forgetting there are judges who guard their integrity jealously in Nigeria.

The rest is now history, Egunjobi was saved his Estate and the litigant was taught a simple lesson: live and let live.

Another issue: Take the so-called privatization of Nigerdock for example; even before the commencement of the sitting of the Commission of Inquiry into the management of Nigerdock and over the protest of the responsible minister, Obasanjo's government announced the privatization of the dockyard. When the "successful" bidder could not pay the price, Obasanjo, in all haste, extended the payment due to be sure the facility was sold. What was the haste and what was being covered up? Yet everyone recalls the stand of government during the bidding exercise for GSM licenses. For this regime, what is good for the goose is not not good for the gander!

Here again, we are seeing the same thing with the attempted privatization of NITEL; selective treatment of preferred buyers. Some anti-corruption fight!

President owes the nation a full explanation of his so-called transparency in governance. Let Nigerians see the wheeling and dealing going on in this government and let them be the judges of how transparency things have been under the Obasanjo regime. It would appear the duo of Obasanjo and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar have turned their backs on the Federal Republic of Nigeria; their primary interest now is Obasanjo, Atiku, Fasawe (Nigeria), Unlimited!

While Obasanjo gallivants about abroad, our social services are in decay; healthcare is still at a primitive stage. Education has been abandoned and University teachers are daily threatened with reprisal as if they are errant school children! Public transport and other infrastructure have collapsed under the ineptitude of Obasanjo's government.

Nigeria's debt burden has risen under this government; the international community worries our financial system is on the verge of collapse, Heavens helps us; we are Argentina in the making! The people must resist the enthronement of this incompetent team on our country and must not allow them another term in office.

How does this regime wish to be remembered? Gen. Gowon's regime will be remembered for the tremendous contribution to infrastructural development in the country; its strenuous effort to defend the unity of Nigeria and sports

development. If we look around, we see roads, fly-overs, the National Stadium, the National Theatre, the refineries, regional and international airports all over the country and so on. Alhaji Shehu Shagari will be remembered for the focus on Agriculture, investment in fertilizer production and the defense of Nigeria's oil market share in probably the most difficult market the Nigerian oil industry has faced in its history.

His bold and defining assertion, "Nigerian will match the North Sea oil pricing policy, cent for cent!" was countervailing; it checkmated the pricing strategy of the North Sea oil producers and saved Nigeria from economic ruin. The initial infrastructure for Abuja was put in place during his regime.

What of retired Gen Ibrahim Badarnasi Babangida? He invested in the development of Abuja, he introduced indeginization to the upstream segment of the petroleum sector and granted acreage to Nigerians, a situation that was previously the preserve of expatriate companies.

The Babangida regime developed the Petrochemical industry in Nigeria and carried it to where it is today.

Obasanjo may say what he likes about his predecessors in office, but he has been compared unfavorably with the latter in the management of our national economy. When respected citizens draw his attention to this simple fact, Obansanjo does what he knows best; he becomes abusive and refuses to listen to professional advice.

How much our economy has suffered under this inept regime can only be imagined. One only needs to see how inflation has accelerated, how the Naira

exchange rate has deteriorated in the years since Obasanjo returned to power in Nigeria, how interest rates on loans have sky-rocketed and how businesses have suffered from the lowest level of capacity utilization recorded in modern Nigerian history. How, one may ask, does Chief Obasanjo want his regime to be remembered? As an abrasive dictatorial regime, one, that led the country to economic hardships, police and ethnic violence, and anarchy.

Gen. Obasanjo's regime will go down in history as one marked by mismanagement, corruption, witch-hunting, and a total breakdown of law and order! This regime has wrought destruction on our land and our people. Soldiers and policemen are being killed as towns and villages are being sacked.

The country is nearly in a state of anomie. How many people would die in inter-community clashes before Chief Obasanjo's government would realize it has done nothing to foster national unity. In the popular Nigerian parlance, his regime will be remembered as "kill and go!" This is a regime that has shown so much disdain for its citizens that it has turned vehicles into barracks for senior and junior police officers who are forced, out of neglect, to sleep in such vehicles with their families. The conditions of service which the police are made to serve under are so appalling that for the first time in our history the police went on strike.

How will this Obasanjo government be remembered?

Retired Gen. Obasanjo's disdain for human rights in legendary; one only has to look back at his first coming as Head of State to imagine how Nigerians have suffered under his regime. One would recall what he did to innocent Nigerians in Ita-Oko.

While now touting his new conversion to human rights, he appears to have forgotten the torture many were subjected to under his regime.

Well-meaning Nigerians must talk out and ask to be heard on the insecurity and threat to life prevalent in our society under the Obasanjo regime.

As we and millions of Nigerians pray for God to redirect and save the country, Practical steps are also required to save Nigeria from this corrupt leadership and from those who hold the reins of power in this failed and impeachable government of Obasanjo's.

Above all, Nigeria should remain united, keep its trust in God as we seek to build a better, ethical and productive country - away from the Obasanjo years of waste!

US Diplomat Raps Nigerian Political Muckraking

Well, well, well.
I am glad that Jendayi Frazer said it!

ABUJA (Reuters) - Nigeria accused a top U.S. State Department diplomat of disrespecting the African country's leadership on Wednesday after she dismissed a high-level corruption feud as political muckraking.

Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Jendayi Frazer was reported as saying a dispute between President Olusegun Obasanjo and Vice President Atiku Abubakar was the work of politicians trying "to smear the reputation of their opponents."

Washington Post, 27/09/2006

President Olusegun Obasanjo has always been a spoiler from his village to the State House. And he wants to discredit his deputy to truncate the Presidential ambition of Vice President Atiku Abubakar. But as we all know that the kettle cannot call the pot black.

The Bitter Truth

It is unfortunate, but it is the bitter truth as a 30-page National Intelligence report has confirmed that the war in Iraq has only worsened the war on terror. And the sooner America and her allies withdraw from Iraq the better and safer for Americans and other victims of this suicidal war. Just leave the Iraqis to settle their scores for better or for worse. And may God help them to repent or perish!

Remember it was Osama bin Laden who played Oprah Winfrey when he also unwittingly helped the 72-year-old Washington author William Blum to hit the top of the bestsellers list by displaying Blum's 2000 foreign-policy diatribe, "Rogue State: A Guide to the World's Only Superpower," in one of Osama bin Laden's videos shown on the CNN, Fox and other news channels. Now President Hugo Chavez has done it for Noam Chomsky's book "Hegemony or Survival: America's Quest for Global Dominance" and I am desperately wooing President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran to just to dangle a copy of my "Scarlet Tears of London" in public and make my day! Who can help?

If The Americans Cannot Kill Osama bin Laden, The French Can Fake It!

U.S. can't confirm bin Laden death report: official

President Jacques Chirac confirmed that they have a report that Osama bin Laden was dead?
The French are jealous of America and Britain taking all the credit for the war on terror and this is their 15 minutes of fame! If the Americans cannot capture Osama bin Laden alive or dead, the French can fake it.

If the death of Jordanian-born head of al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi did not stop the escalation of insurgency in Iraq since his successor Abu Ayyub al-Masri is as terrible as the Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, then the death of Osama bin Laden will not stop the resurgences of terrorist attacks. Because, the nucleus of Islamic terrorism is not the Al Qaida, but the ideology of Islamic Fundamentalism. Radical Islamization breeds terrorism and the fanatics of this erroneous and ambiguous ideology are legions and are always ready to be unleashed whenever the devil wants. Because they are psychos and schizos of their own false prophecies.

Then the other mad Muslim was ranting to his mammoth crowd of misled followers of false prophecies that their Hizbollah has an arsenal of 20,000 rockets. So? Israel should shudder and cower in fear of his threats?
Hizbollah has 20,000 rockets! Hurrah! It is a world record! And the hundreds of thousands of religious fools applauded like animated zombies milling around the totem of their idol.

Hasan Nasrallah, Do you know if Israel has 20,000 nukes?
Which would be worse? To be hit by 20,000 rockets or 20,000 nukes?
Stop barking like a mad dog, because if not for the intervention of the UN, Lebanon would have been reduced to sticks, stones and bones. Totally ruined.

Re: Spiritual Niggers: Islam and the West

I read RJ Eskow's critical article, Spiritual Niggers: Islam and the West and I have to comment on it and I have e-mailed my rejoinder to him.

Dear Sir,
I have just read your "Spiritual Niggers: Islam and the West" and the comments on the
Huffington Post

I have addressed the most critical issues on Islam and Christianity in my latest collection of poems Scarlet Tears of London.

I am a Christian from a very strong Roman Catholic background in Nigeria and I have lived and worked for Muslims and sat with Imams to discuss their Koran and our Holy Bible.

As Christians we must not have apologies or regrets whenever we preach against an evil or any religion that does not accept our Saviour Jesus Christ as the Messiah and Islam is antiChrist.

Pope Benedict XVI does not owe any Muslim or Muslims any apology and you cannot threaten and intimidate him to apologize or regret his statement against the evils of Islam.

You can also read my Satan in the Vatican in Scarlet Tears of London.

I don't like ignorant commentaries and statements by people who don't live in Islamic communities. Because you cannot see Islam clearly from your rose-tinted Western glasses.

To know the truth about Islam, oblige to spend only two months in Iran or even Saudi Arabia. Then you will see the true colours of Islam.

Muslims in American and Europe are free to have their own mosques and Islamic centres and even free to preach their Islam in Times Square and other open grounds in America and Europe. But can Christians do the same in Iran and Saudi Arabia?

How many American and European Muslims do you see on the streets condemning the murder of innocent Christians in Nigeria, Turkey, Iran and other Islamic domains?

During the riots over the controversial Danish cartoons of prophet Muhammad, innocent Christians were attacked and murdered in broad daylight by Islamic terrorists in Northern Nigerian, including the murder of a Christian mother and her five children who were burnt to death in public; a priest was disemboweled and another Christian woman who was pregnant was disemboweled in public. And none of the so called peace-loving Islamic clerics in Nigeria or elsewhere came out to condemn these dastardly acts perpetrated by their fellow Muslims. Because, most of the decisions to attack and murder Christians were taken during meetings in their mosques with the consent of their Imams and Mullahs.

Now they have just murdered an innocent Nun in Somalia. And this Nun was helping these poor and miserable Muslims in a hospital and they have killed her. And have you heard, read or seen any public condemnation of this dastardly act by the Muslims in America and Europe? They are pretending to be ignorant of this evil and they continue to deceive and fool themselves that they are peace loving?
Even the antichrist comes pretending to be an angel of light.
And Islam is antichrist!

Can you Muslims enjoying the liberties of the freedom of speech and freedom of worship in America and Europe allow Christians to preach and practice their Christianity in public places in Iran and Saudi Arabia where copies of the Holy Bible are destroyed and nobody dares to challenge or protest? But once you hear, read or see any statement against your prophet Muhammad in the foreign media, you scream blue murder and go on your terrorist suicide-bombings of America, Europe and other places.

You refuse to tolerate the Christian religion in your own Islamic countries, but you want Americans and Europeans to tolerate your own Islamic religion with your Islamic impunity.

Are you not wicked hypocrites and liars?

If you cannot tolerate Christianity in Islamic countries, then why should we tolerate your Islam in America, Europe and Australia and other non-Islamic countries?

I cannot tolerate the religion of those who cannot tolerate my own religion.

Say the truth and damn the wrath of the devil.

I repeat again, call a spade a forking spade!

The Pope Said It and I Second It!

"The emperor comes to speak about the issue of jihad, holy war," the pope said. "He said, I quote, 'Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.'"
Washington Post, 15/09/2006

Is the Pope anti-evil or anti-Islam? Or is Islam not synonymous with evil?
If they believe that the Pope is wrong, then let all of them condemn the Al Qaida and all their terrorist attacks on Americans, Europeans and other people all over the world.
Muslims condemn all other religions and call non-Muslims infidels and they have never apologized to the victims of their Jihad of terrorism. So, why should the Pope apologize for saying the truth?

Call a spade a forking spade! Finis.

I Can Help NATO

President George W. Bush Beating About The Bush.

NATO is in dire need of more troops.
The US asked for 2,500 soldiers to increase the forces in Afghanistan and could only get 20 soldiers!
Gosh!

I don't blame those who are scared of going to fight the insurgents in Afghanistan. Because, the dangers in Afghanistan are worse than in Iraq. But, I can really help NATO.

I have seen the worst battles in modern warfare during the Nigerian civil war. So, I have the experience.

I can supply even 20,000 dare devils in 24 hours.
Battle-tested and proven commandos who have fought and survived the bloodiest conflicts in the wars in Africa.

NATO can contact me.

I supply on demand.

There are hundreds of thousands of trigger happy mad men in Canada who will be willing to go and commit suicide in Afghanistan than go on rampage on a college campus. So, an open demand for such lunatics would bring thousands of such made gunmen to NATO and I bet you that these paranoid lunatics would even smoke out Osama bin Laden and his rattle snakes out of their holes and dislodge Taliban fighters from their southern strongholds in Afghanistan.

N.B:
In case you are man enough and can dare the devils in Afghanistan, send me your resume.

Lest I forget, I am an equal opportunity employer. So, gays may apply.
But, please, if you are sacred of watching Dracula and other horror movies, don't even bother to apply. Afghanistan is no place for kids whose worst nightmares are watching the monsters on Cartoon Network.

I Light A Candle For Every Soul of 9/11

This is not the time for any political gimmick or Ground Zero rhetoric. We are tired of the political cliches of President George W.Bush on the war on terror. Because, there is nothing more to say that has not been said. And 9/11 has even become the scapegoat of the war in Iraq. And more innocent lives have been lost in the wrong place fighting the wrong war while Osama bin Laden and his lawless terrorists are busy playing hide and seek in the game of death with contempt for the Coalition Forces.

The President that lied has not repented and continues to give excuses for his blunders. Bloody blunders costing more innocent lives everyday in the wrong war in Iraq. And GWB continues to waste the lives of innocent Americans in Iraq with impunity.

It is a great pity that 9/11 has become the scapegoat of the misadministration of President George W.Bush in the prosecution of the war on terror.

Who is fooling whom?

I have nothing more to say.
I light a candle for every soul of 9/11.

I Thought Hizbollah Won The War

I thought the ignorant fools and morons were celebrating on the streets that they won the war? Then why are they begging Israel to lift the blockade of Lebanon?

If you were victorious in war, would you still be at the mercy of your defeated enemy?

If Hizbollah won the war, then they should have reopened the international airport and the seaport. But here they are groaning in pains over the aerial blockade until now that it has just been removed after the UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan begged Israel to have mercy on them. But the naval blockade will continue until Israel decides to end it.

When you block the main gate of your enemy and keeps him imprisoned inside his home, so that he cannot even go fishing or travel out, then how can he claim that he defeated you in battle?

Can The Jews and the Arabs Dwell Together in Peace?

Dear Mazim Qumsiyeh,

Does Israel have the right to co-exist with you Palestinians?

If yes, I will recognize you and your cause.

But if no, I will be against you and your cause.

I believe in live and let me live in peace as God has given me the right to life and to live in peace with my fellow humans.

I am against anyone who attacks and kills innocent people. Be you Jews or
Arabs.

God bless.
...................

Dear Orikinla:

I actually wrote a book on the subject. Perhaps you will take the time to read it. It is called Sharing the Land of Canaan.
Sharing indeed is what Palestinains have always called for.

The problem lies elsewhere: in an exclusivist ideology calling for apartheid. In the words of the Israeli artists declaration:

"If the state of Israel aspires to perceive itself as a democracy, it should
abandon once and for all, any legal and ideological foundation of religious, ethnic, and demographic discrimination.

The state of Israel should strive to become the state of all its citizens.

We call for the annulment of all laws that make Israel an apartheid state, including the Jewish law of return in its present form"

(artists' Declaration 2002).

Also this is not about Jews vs Muslims or vs Arabs (just as much as the violence and problems in South Africa under apartheid were not white vs black). I myself am a Palestinian Christian.

I urge you to look into issues like apartheid, racism, and ethnic cleansing since that is the etiology of the disease (violence is the symptom).I hope you will take the time to get some information not from mainstream media(that fails to tell you much of what is really going on). Here is a place to start to look into the origin of this problem (from Jews for Justice in the Middle East): The Truth

Re: "Niger Delta: The Sore of a Nation"

A rapacious ruling elite has reduced the people of the Niger Delta, and indeed 70 percent of the Nigerian population to a life of penury, surviving on less than one dollar a day, in spite of the wealth from oil. Consequently, the Niger Delta remains one of the most underdeveloped, poverty-ridden, and crisis-prone regions of Nigeria.
~~ The Editorial of The Guardian of Nigeria on "Niger Delta: The Sore of a Nation" on Monday August 28, 2006.

If only President Olusegun Obasanjo would be reasonable enough to read this honest to God editorial on the Niger Delta crisis. We don’t have to write a long essay or dissertation to comprehend the genesis of the Niger Delta crisis. Because, in this very concise and precise analysis of the Niger Delta Crisis, The Guardian has said it all.

Letter To Sudan: The Bloodshed Must Stop Now!

When I look at the chaotic state of current affairs in the world and look at developed countries like Norway, Austria, Switzerland, Newfoundland and others of similar peaceful environment I wonder why we cannot emulate them. Because, the prevailing ignorance of the majority of Africans and Arabs have caused more havoc in the world than even the worst natural disasters in history. And we fool ourselves in our erroneous and ambiguous religious beliefs claiming to know the Almighty God, but the horrors of our own crimes and evils have shown that we don't believe in God. Because, if we truly believe in God, we should obey His commandment that we must love ourselves and not cheating, lying, exploiting, robbing, fighting and killing ourselves in our ungodly acts of greediness and wickedness.

If you can pass on the above message to both the Sudanese government and rebels through their leaders you can reach, please do. Because, all we need is the common sense to see that fighting and killing ourselves worsen our predicament and war damages the sanctity of humanity and at the end of it all, we would be worst off.

When will Africans learn from the horrible and terrible mistakes of the past?

Are we still a primitive race or are we civilized?

Are we not capable of living and working together in love, peace and unity?

Are we fools or are we wise?

If we say we are wise, then why are we behaving like fools who cannot govern themselves as the civilized countries like Norway, Austria, Switzerland and others where there are no longer brutes fighting and killing themselves as we do among ourselves in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Eastern Europe?

Are we not ashamed to be the laughing stock of America and Western Europe?

For how long do we want to continue destroying ourselves?

Can't we for once, lay down our arms and think twice and listen to the voice of the conscience and say God forbid! We shall no longer continue to fight and kill ourselves over things that we cannot take with us when we die?

Enough is enough!

The bloodshed must stop now!

Tony Blair Responds To Oxfam Campaigners

Rebecca Haslam, an Outreach Volunteer, and Lisa Rutherford from the London Campaigns Office, rapped on the door of Number 10 and delivered 86,000 I'm in names and a letter to Tony Blair. Photo: Oxfam

You've got mail:
Tony Blair responds to Oxfam campaigners

Last year 40 million people successfully campaigned against poverty. Rich countries promised debt cancellation for 40 countries and £27 billion more aid, already this has changed lives.

This year we want more.

We want developing countries to get the six million more health workers and teachers they desperately need.

It's still absolutely crucial to keep the pressure up on the richest countries to make sure they don't lose sight of the promises they made in 2005.
We didn't see much progress on poverty at the 2006 G8 Summit, but there is a real chance the fight against poverty could be back at the heart of the agenda at the 2007 summit in Germany.

You can help.
What You Can Do

Help Oxfam and its allies keep the pressure up on Tony Blair and other world leaders. Say "I'm in" to the fight against poverty. Say "I'm in" by signing this petition calling for more aid, better spent, on health care and education for the poorest people in the world

Oxfam

Tony Blair means well and his appeal is from his heart and soul. But I doubt the integrity of the other world leaders and here in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, scores of innocent poverty-stricken Nigerians have been shot and killed by soldiers of the Nigerian Army on the Shoot-at-sight order of President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria in his desperation to stop the operations of militants in the Niger Delta of Nigeria. And the oil producing states are still wallowing in abject poverty while Nigerian politicians are busy witch-hunting and assassinating themselves.

Tony Blair must not be fooled by the lip service of President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria.

How can we fight against poverty in a state of chaos?

Religion In The Dock In Muslim Vilification Appeal

IT IS impossible to vilify Islam without also vilifying Muslims, because the two are indistinguishable, the Victorian Court of Appeal was told yesterday.
"If one vilifies Islam, one is by necessary consequence vilifying people who hold that religious belief," Brind Woinarski, QC, told the court.

Mr Woinarski was appearing for the Islamic Council of Victoria in the appeal by Christian group Catch the Fire Ministries and pastors Danny Nalliah and Daniel Scot against a finding under Victoria's religious hatred law that they vilified Muslims in 2002. The Racial and Religious Tolerance Act defines vilification as inciting hatred, serious contempt, revulsion or severe ridicule against a person or class of persons.

Cameron Macaulay, for the pastors, argued that the act explicitly confined the prohibition to vilifying persons, not the religion — otherwise it could operate as a law against blasphemy. Instead, it recognised one could hate the idea without hating the person.

Justice Geoffrey Nettle asked Mr Woinarski: "There must be intellectually a distinction between the ideas and those who hold them?" "We don't agree with that," Mr Woinarski said. "But in this case it's an irrelevant distinction, because Muslims and Islam were mishmashed up together."

Justice Nettle: "Are you saying it's impossible to incite hatred against a religion without also inciting hatred against people who hold it?" Mr Woinarski: "Yes."
Mr Macaulay said orders by Judge Michael Higgins against the pastors to take out a newspaper advertisement apologising and not to repeat certain teachings were too wide, and beyond his powers under the act.

He said it was surprising that the pastors could hold the beliefs but not express them. "They are restrained by law from suggesting or implying a number of things about what in their view the Koran teaches: that it preaches violence and killing, that women are of little value, that the God of Islam, Allah, is not merciful, that there is a practice of 'silent jihad' for spreading Islam, or that the Koran says Allah will remit the sins of martyrs.

"Contentious or otherwise, these are opinions about Islam's doctrines and teaching. Statements of this kind are likely to offend and insult Muslims but their feelings are not relevant under the act." Mr Macaulay said the act burdened free speech, contravened international treaties Australia had signed and breached the Australian constitution.

The act, amended in May, has been controversial. Opponents rallied against it outside Parliament earlier this month, and some Christians vowed to make it an issue at the state election.

This case has been monitored by Christian and Muslim groups overseas, and at one point Judge Higgins had to assure the Foreign Affairs Department he was not considering jailing the pastors after a flood of emails from America.
The case continues today.

Blogging Under The Radar: The Blogosphere Becomes The Antithesis of the Middle East Crisis

What the UN has failed to achieve since 1948 to date, the 3 years old blogosphere has achieved in 3 weeks to propel the virtual momentum to accelerate the cause of peace in the Middle East as Israeli and Lebanese bloggers establish a common rapport in their virtual world. And the expanding blogosphere is fast changing the atmosphere of enmity between these two enemies.

The Lebanese government forbids its citizens contact with Israelis. But keeping a lid on the Internet is a bit like trying to shovel sand with a sieve. And in the midst of war, scouring online for views from the other side has been one way for Lebanese and Israelis to alleviate the terrible sense of the impotence of standing by as their countries bled. Thousands of people, often posting in English, seem compelled to try to make some sense of the chaos -- or, through personal narratives, to help debunk stereotypes and misperceptions.Washington Post, 27/08/2006

Why should the UN watch as the Lebanese government forbids contact with Israelis?
Why should the UN permit such an undiplomatic state policy against Israel?

"The lack of news about Israel -- not an unimportant country in the region -- is astounding," wrote the political consultant, under his then-nom-de-Web, Lebanon Profile. "Not knowing about 'them' is the worst crime we can commit. It invalidates them as humans, as if they don't even matter. They are Stalin's faceless enemy, the rabid dog, the evil blood suckers whom it is righteous to kill. Our papers definitely need to start covering more than major political events in Israel."Washington Post, 27/08/2006

It is sheer wickedness for these sworn enemies of Israel to poison the hearts and souls of the majority of their ignorant citizens against making peace with Israel.

Two Fox Journalsits Freed After Converting To Islam

I have just read online that the kidnapped Fox correspondents have just been freed after 'converting to Islam' in Gaza.

The footage of them in captivity showed both men dressed in beige Arab-style robes, and the kidnappers claimed the journalists had converted to Islam.
Washington Post, 27/08/2006

This is actually what all the Islamic terrorists are doing.
They are holding the rest of the world hostage at gunpoint to convert to Islam or be killed. And the rest of the Islamic world are enjoying the whole Islamic madness and only pretend to sympathize with the unfortunate victims of Islamic terrorism.

Fox News Senior Vice President John Moody said there were "high points and low points" in the ordeal, and that one of the lowest was the release of a second video at 3 a.m. Eastern time Sunday in which Centanni and Wiig said under duress that they had converted to Islam.
Washington Post, 27/08/2006

So where do we go from here? To the Hajj?

When Will This Islamic Madness End?

First Hamas kidnapped an Israeli soldier and asked for the release of Palestinian prisoners held in Israel in exchange. Then Hizbollah killed some Israeli soldiers and abducted two and demanded that Israel must release Hizbollah fighters in Israeli prisons in exchange. And now the Holy Jihad Brigades," kidnapped two Fox News Channel journalists (correspondent Steve Centanni, a 60-year-old American, and New Zealand cameraman Olaf Wiig, 36) in Gaza, also demanding that Muslims in American prisons must be released in exchange for their hostages. When will these lunatic fringe elements of Islam stop their madness? Until they no longer exist?

To Russia With My Condolences And My Love

Reuters

May I sympathize with all Russians who are now bereaved as all the 170 passengers on the Russian airliner of Flight 612 died as the plane crashed in flames today in Eastern Ukraine.

The plane carried 161 passengers, including 45 children, and a crew of 10. There were no survivors, rescue personnel and airline officials said.
Washington Post 08/22/2006

May the dead rest in peace and may the Almighty God Jehovah comfort all the bereaved families and the whole of Russia.

Extracts From The Scarlet Tears of London

On Islamic Terrorism:
In AD 624, The Prophet Muhammed announced the Jihad or holy war.
“ I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite off their finger-tips off them...slay them wherever you find them…”

Sunniya,
I got a suicide note yesterday.
It was from your brother Mustafa.
He is going to blow himself up on Sunday.
He mentioned somewhere in Gaza.

But why?
Oh, Sunniya! Don’t cry.
Mustafa chose the way to go.
The terrible deed has been done.
And he is gone.

As British Charge 11 Suspects in Airliner Plot, let me remind all the Islamic terrorists and their fellow Muslims that...
God has not called us to be suicide bombers
God has called us to be peacemakers.
God has not called us to be messengers of death.
God has called us to be messengers of life.
God has not called us to be messengers of falsehood.
God has called us to be messengers of truth.
God has not called us to be messengers of hatred.
God has called us to be messengers of love.

On the beauty of the Hijab and Burga:

She came in silken veils
Like aurora in her sails.
And the siren fled at the scent of her chador
The hood of her candor
My beloved Princess Sunniya
She is the loveliest damsel in all Arabia.

On Adultery:

Is only the woman that is always caught in adultery?
What of the man?
Or did she commit the adultery by herself?
The hypocrisy and injustice must stop.

Some verses from Scarlet Tears of London:

Faces stained with blood
Grimaces of agony
Petrified as they stood.
Too numb to bear any acrimony.

Oh, my beloved London
The pride of the English Crown
Let me wipe away your scarlet tears
The scarlet tears of your bloodshed
Though you are heartbroken.
But, you are not forsaken.

The Washington Post Report On The Niger Delta

I have a better idea for making the rest of the world to turn their eyes away from the bloody madness in the Middle East and notice the genesis of a catastrophe in the Niger Delta of Nigeria. Let us kidnap Heidi Klum and parade her before the cameras of the CNN and Fox in only her skimpy bikini surrounded by sex-starved militants in the creeks of the Niger Delta. And of course, she would be safer in my arms than in the arms of the suicidal Islamic terrorists. Because, we don't behead hostages in the Niger Delta. In fact our hostages gain some extra pounds and grow new beard too. If we kidnap Heidi Klum, even the Washington Post will make us their cover story.

Inhabitants of delta communities _ where many subsist on less than $2 a day despite the hundreds of billions of dollars generated by oil exploration in the region _ have repeatedly detained foreign workers to protest living conditions.
Washington Post, 21/08/2006

The Washington Post has been hammering on the social, economic and political causes of the Niger Delta crisis for years and all the other leading Western news channels have also echoed the same fears. But the American, British, Dutch and Italian authorities have failed to query the violations of our fundamental human rights by their multinational oil companies operating in the plundered communities in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. And they only raise their snobbish eyebrows whenever they hear and read the news of kidnapped Americans, Europeans or Asians and once the hostages are freed without any harm, they continue with their capitalist business as usual, collaborating with the ruling kleptocratic Nigerian government to continue to cheat, exploit , plunder and loot our mineral resources which they cannot do without as at present.

Oil spills often pollute farms or rivers, which are the traditional means of sustenance in the region, and government corruption means that the region is severely underdeveloped, lacking roads and reliable electricity.
Washington Post, 21/08/2006

Seeing is beliveing. And I want the Western media to produce an eye-witness documentary report on the Niger Delta crisis and broadcast it on the CNN, Fox and BBC for the rest of the world to see the atrocities of the multinational oil companies in their criminal activities in the host communities in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Then, their leaders would be more concerned about the critical humanitarian emergencies in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. And they don't have to wait until our revolutionary militants start beheading their American, British, Dutch, Russian, German and Asian hostages before they will address the crisis.

"We need peace, food and shelter, not soldiers on our streets," said Fyneface Aaron, a 61-year-old water vendor. "They will not find the hoodlums and they may end up killing the wrong people."
Washington Post, 21/08/2006

I have met with Shell and ChevronTexaco over the Niger Delta crisis and in fact I warned them before the situation became worse. And the sooner the problems as quoted above are solved the better. Otherwise, they should prepare to bear the unavoidable responsibilities of the worst consequences of their violations of the human rights of the host communities of the multinational oil companies in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

We are peace loving and proactive citizens of Nigeria and we want the best for our people as demonstrated by Kendall the genius behind the launching of Myafricasite who is from the Niger Delta region of Nigeria and we are all cooperating and supporting other proactive forces for the nation-building of a New Nigeria in the leadership of Africa in the new millennium.

We can save the Niger Delta from a catastrophic civil war before it is too late. And we don't have to kidnap sexy Heidi Klum to prove our point.
