The Disgrace of Thabo Mbeki or Jacob Zuma's Coup?

President Thabo Mbeki and ANC Chieftain Jacob Zuma when they were jolly good fellows before their political cookie crumbled.

Dear Mbeki Brother,
I have been excited and impressed by President Thabo Mbeki's successful resolution of the political crisis in Zimbabwe with the peaceful power sharing between the shameless dictator Robert Mugabe and the never-say-die opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) on September 15, 2008. But I am shocked by the wishy-washy way the African National Congress (ANC) harassed and embarrassed President Thabo Mbeki out of office! Is this how you honour and reward your heroes?
Or is Thabo Mbeki not worthy of your honour?

The mass resignations of his notable ministers should be enough to show that they are not happy with the political conspiracy that eventually resulted in the unceremonious resignation of President Thabo Mbeki.

When deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, Local Government Minister Sydney Mufamadi and Defence Minister Mosiuoa Lekota and over a third of the 31-member cabinet of President Thabo Mbeki have left with him, what would be left? A shadow government of the African National Congress(ANC). The ANC chief Jacob Zuma has simply overthrown the government of President Thabo Mbeki.

No matter what Jacob Zuma and his political cohorts in the ANC think, Thabo Mbeki is still a man of dignity and integrity and great African leader who has been a worthy successor of the great Madiba Nelson Mandela.
